Designed in 1961, but first put into production now, Esben Klint’s EK61 Opal Pendant profiles elegant and refined design. Originally conceived in pleated plastic, which proved too complicated to produce at the time, it is now reimagined in careful combination of classic materials.
Certified oak and mouth-blown opal glass ennoble the original design. Putting artisanal skills to use, the pleated, super-elliptical shade features distinctive wooden trim that evokes traditional Chinese lanterns. Meticulously turned and honed by hand, the solid oak detailing gives the lamp a classic look and nods to the heritage of our brand. A lamp which can stand alone or be combined in clusters, the EK61 emits glare-free ambient light wherever it is placed.
